Full course description
Thank you for your commitment to serving as a shelter worker for the 2025–2026 school year. Your dedication plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community during emergency events.
To be eligible for compensation and deployment in the event of a hurricane or other emergency activation, all shelter workers must complete the following mandatory training:

Review the CCPS Shelter Operations Guide

Review the Shelter Quick Reference Guide

Complete a 10-question assessment with a minimum score of 80%
(You may retake the quiz as needed to meet the passing requirement.)
Upon successful completion of the quiz, you must print and retain your certificate of completion. This certificate serves as official confirmation of your eligibility to be deployed to a CCPS emergency shelter if needed.
